There was a good turnout for this year's annual club championship at Belle Haven Park. The cold showers we had all week ended during the night so we all enjoyed getting outside. There was a bit of headwind approaching the finish line which may account for the 4 registrants who didn't finish. I thank our experienced volunteers including Ed Grant, our van driver, who made my job easy and the race run smoothly. The officials were Gene Fox, James Scarborough, Charles Evans, John Haubert, George Robertson, Gardenia Pittman, and Steve Ciccarelli. The top 3 runners in each 10-year age group who stayed for the awards presentation won DCRRC medals plus George Banker gave merchandise prizes to the top open and masters male and female.
